Cinque Terre Rocky Coastline and Sunbathers (Italy)

This shot is from high upon a foot trail just to the southeast of Riomaggiore, one of the five villages of Italy’s Cinque Terre region.  It’s a fairly steep climb in some parts of this path, but with a good guardrail to help keep people safe.

I liked the colors and rock formations in this scene, and the two sunbathers were perfect for giving it a sense of scale.  It wasn’t completely clear to me at the time exactly how they got out there, but there must be a path and/or steps from the shoreline that helped them get started.  They were probably about 50-100 feet offshore.
