Large Iguana on Rocks (Mexico)

For one trip to Mexico we stayed at a resort in the Riviera Maya region that had a large and interesting landscaped jungle area between the hotel and the beach.  It was either a Riu or an Iberostar property, as I recall.

There were a number of various sized iguanas wandering around this area, and we stopped to photograph several of them during our stay.  Here’s one of the larger ones we saw, resting on a bed of small rocks.  He was at least 2 feet long from nose to tail, and 4-5 inches wide in the belly area.
