Statue of Theseus (Athens, Greece)

Theseus (also called Thiseas), was the mythical founder-king of Athens, Greece. This is the upper part of a large statue of him near the Acropolis.  I chose to convert to black and white here for a bit more drama and contrast against a blue sky with a few white clouds drifting by.

Theseus was famous for many things, including the slaying of the Minotaur.  Perhaps Athens could use his help again today to overcome Greece’s many fiscal challenges?
