This is a ‘high dynamic range’ (HDR) image of the Cinque Terre village of Vernazza, Italy. This view is from the trail that connects Vernazza with Monterosso al Mare, and takes about 10-15 minutes to reach from the little public square (piazza) down by the water. The piazza is a great place to hang out and grab a drink or a meal while people-watching. The dark tower in the right background is climbable, and provides great views up and down the coastline. I made this HDR image from three source images taken over a span of a few seconds, and it’s a bit more saturated and ‘painterly’ than the actual view appeared.
